Miami, what can one say! Wonderful beaches, interesting architecture, thriving Latin culture and the Everglades. There is lots to do here. Come down a few days before the cruise or stay for a few days after. Hotels are numerous and available in all price ranges. The port is centrally located about fifteen minutes from Miami International Airport (MIA) and about fourty-five minutes from Ft Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport (FLL). If you are renting a car most of the major car rental companies operate shuttles between a downtown location and the cruise terminals.

Some of my favorite attractions are Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens, Shark Valley (Everglades National Park - no sharks!), and Matheson Hammock.
